All change at Brixham Dance School

A local Brixham Dance School is having a facelift !  Formerly known as Cr8tive Dance, The Brixham Dance Project is undergoing major changes and will be re launching on 7 January 2013 with a new Timetable, New Syllabus, New classes and two new Teachers, Maddy Rooke and Charlotte Slater, joining the staff.

Principle, Stephanie Wright  trained locally at the Rathgeb School, of Dance, Brixham Community College and South Devon College before leaving to study Dance and Drama at St. Alfred's College, Winchester and Darting ton School of Arts where she gained a diploma in Dance and Drama Studies and a BA (Hons.) in Choreography and Community Arts. In 2004, Stephanie set up ‘Turmoil Dance' a group of singers and dancers who staged cabaret style shows – mainly at Brixham Theatre – to raise
money for Charities.

In 2005 she became an Associate Teacher of the UKA (United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing) and in 2008 opened the doors of Cr8tive Dance.  Over the past four years Cr8tive Dance have performed at many local events and entered over 60 pupils into Dance examinations with 100% pass rate.

The Brixham Dance Project already runs classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern and we are adding Street, Zumba and Contemporary from January.  We can be found at St. Mary's Hall, St. Mary's Square, Brixham, and we strongly believe that Dance should be made available for all ages and abilities and therefore strive to accommodate all pupils.  If you are interested in taking classes please phone/text 07828422148 or message us at Brixham Dance on Face Book.
