Brixham Town centre radiates around the central car park and bus station, with Bolton Crossroads at one end of the town and the harbour and The Strand at the other. Entering the Town along New Road past shops, the Town Hall, Theatre and Museum, Bolton Cross traffic lights mark the start of Fore Street.

Fore Street is the pedestrianized shopping area where once water flowed in a tidal creek right up to the Bolton Hotel.

In medieval times a ferry service ran across from that hotel across to the Smugglers Haunt and a reservoir was located where the Town Hall now stands. In the opposite direction Bolton Street leads off the crossroads with shops including laundry facilities right the way up to the area once known as 'Cow Town'.

Overlooking the town and Middle Street is All Saints Church, well worth a visit especially at the 'Festival of the Sea' and the town offers many places to take a break and enjoy a wide range of food and local fish delights.
