Dear Ministry Partner

‘I will be with you until I have finished giving you everything I promised' – Genesis 28:15

Genesis 32 tells the story of Jacob. Jacob had run away for fear of his brother Esau. Now after many years, God told him to go back. He is afraid that his brother will ill-treat him, so he divided his family and possessions into three groups: “If my brother kills one lot, the other will be spared…” But then he has to meet with God. He spent the night alone, and, verse 24 says, there wrestled a man with him until the break of day. When the man he was fighting with saw that he did not prevail against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and Jacob's thigh was out of joint as he wrestled. And this heavenly visitor said to Jacob, “Let me go because dawn is breaking.” And Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” And God said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for as a prince you have power with God and with man, and you have prevailed.”

Do you understand the relationship we can have with God? He said to Jacob in Genesis 32:24-28, “You have power with God! You have prevailed with God!” To me, this is what spiritual warfare is all about – wrestling with God in prayer! Until God answers! And you don't let go – and you don't take ‘no' for an answer! For the believer, ‘No' is spelt ‘Y-E-S'! You must wrestle with God in prayer!

I had to learn to how to pray the hard way – in a prison! When did God speak to Jeremiah? When  he was in a luxurious house, teaching prosperity? No, when he was in a prison! God said to him, “Call on Me, and I will show you great and mighty things!” (Jeremiah 33:1-3.) When I was in prison, God said to me, “Call on Me!” – I did not know He would send the British Prime Minister just to release me! But that is the way God answers, to show His power!

Pastor John Osteen, writing in his book, Becoming a Man of Unwavering Faith, says of this kind of faith: “Men of faith keep going even when they don't see the answer coming. When the situation says, “There's no evidence that God is going to answer,” you go on because you have the Word of God. In 1 Kings 18, Elijah kept believing when he saw nothing happening in the physical realm. That's precisely what God started with in the beginning. When He created the universe out of nothing.

“Maybe people are telling you, “it's not working!” But you must stand your ground. Keep holding the Word of God up to Him. In Jeremiah 1:12, the Lord says, “I am watching to see that My Word is fulfilled”. If God promised it, He will do it! … As far as God is concerned, His promises are all yours. You can rejoice by faith that they are yours, even though they have not yet manifested … Isn't it strange how we act on the word of a lawyer, a doctor, a financial planner, or a loved one, and yet won't act on the Word of God? A man can lie, but God cannot lie! Consider this truth: “Now faith is the assurance of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [ faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]” (Hebrews 11:1 amp). Faith goes into the Word of God, believes God, and foresees as fact what is not yet revealed to the five physical senses … Faith is acting as though God told you the truth .”

On 2 and 3 June, I was the guest speaker at the annual Eurospirit Conference in Amsterdam. I wanted to fire them up! Together, with a group of pastors, we are intending to hold nationwide evangelism in Holland within the next year! I told them: “I want you to take the Word of God literally. What counts is our relationship with the Lord.” – It is from this simple relationship, that we are able to evangelise.

Please pray:

We realise that as the anointing of the Holy Spirit on this ministry increases, so do the calls for us to extend the Missions to other countries. It is clear to us in our praying here that the challenge is not to pray simply for finance for individual missions like Israel, but for the Lord to touch the hearts of larger churches or business men to increase their support. To do what is in our hearts, and enter the open doors of evangelism before us, we need the Lord to increase our income by £100,000 per month. By faith we are now planning the best ways to increase our ministry according to the increase God will give in our income!

The challenge of faith which is facing us right now is either to reduce our evangelism (and our faith) to the size of our present budget – or increase our income (and our faith) to the size of the vision God has given us through His Word. – But I want to stretch my faith. Isaiah 54 says “Enlarge… Build… Spread out… For you will soon be bursting at the seams.”

  1. We have wonderful opportunities to evangelise in Holland, Ukraine and Poland this year. Please pray that God would give our organisers wisdom, courage and faith as they prepare for these events.

  2. Following the Israel meetings in April, the pastors are asking me to go back this year to hold more services – they are determined that God will touch His people again – please continue to pray for the critical situation there and that a further opportunity will enable us to return.

  3. In Malachi 3, God promises that He would open the windows of Heaven – and pour out a blessing so great that we won't have room enough to contain it. We are utterly dependant on God to meet our needs – and I ask that you would agree in faith with us for these – but we also know that in this financial climate, you also need to be blessed by God; we hold daily prayer meetings in our office – crying out to God that He will answer all our needs and yours.

Many people contact us with their prayer requests:

We have a wonderful group of people who set aside time each week to pray individually for those who ask for specific prayer. – It is our pleasure to stand in faith with you. Psalm 84 promises that when we walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs, where pools of blessing collect after the rains!

Thank you for supporting this ministry.
