Having met each other last year in a tight semi-final where Churston came out winners, it was obvious both teams would have to be on top form.

The game kicked off at a high tempo, with both teams battling for possession. South Dartmoor 's attacks were repelled by a resilient defence, and when on the attack Churston looked more threatening, with efforts from Tom and Tom just wide, and Sam hitting the bar. At half time it was level pegging with both teams unable to make the breakthrough.

Churston attacked straight from the whistle, with Alex down the left proving more than a handful for the South Dartmoor defence. Not long into the second half it was Alex that got down the wing and set up Tom for the first goal. Once on top, Churston didn't let it slip and it wasn't long before the lead was doubled, once again Tom converting his chance well to make it 2-0 Churston.

The team settled into playing a confident passing game, and when South Dartmoor attacked, they were met by a Churston defence led by a solid Declan. A good passage of play led to another goal, this time from substitution Sam. The end result being a 3-0 victory for Churston, a third South Devon cup win in four years. Coach Mr.Swannell described it as an “exceptional team performance, the best from them all season,”, with Captain Alfie adding, “A deserved victory for the team who played the best football, and gave 110% all game.”

There were exceptional performances from every player for Churston and it was a fantastic end to a successful season.
