BRIXHAM
U10s VS TAVISTOCK U10
Tavistock
35 – 10 Brixham
Brixham started well
in the first game however Tavistock used the strength of the
one outstanding player who was tall enough to be playing a couple
of years up, he ran well and despite several failed attempts
through great tackling he still managed to score the majority
of the Tavistock tries.

STONEHOUSE
20 BRIXHAM 30
Brixham started with
a bang but not listening to the referee cost them at the start
with a try disallowed as it was taken over the dead ball line,
Stonehouse took this favour and great running up the wing left
Brixham trailing. Brixham managed to wake up and it was Alfie
Jarvis who managed to finish off a well made team try after
great clearing out and quick ball from the breakdown.

Brixham's
Under 10s
Teignmouth
35 Brixham 10
Brixham started the
season at last after having to wait till nearly the end of October,
this showed in the first half of the first game with an element
of holding back from the Fishermen and the strong rucking from
Teignmouth and picking out Brixham's weaknesses leading them
to a 25-0 score at half time. Brixham tried hard with strong
running from Harry Davies and great running and tackles in defence
from Bradley McKee but did not do the basics well enough leaving
the home side to run around weak defence from the overlaps they
had created.

YOUTH RFC RUGBY CAMP 2011
Brixham Rugby Week
was first run back in the late 70s by Chalky White then the
RFU South West Divisional Training Advisor based at Taunton
School. Since then each year we have put on a summer camp run
by the coaches and committee at the club with the help of Senior
Club coaches and the Devon Rugby Development team (in the early
years the coaches included former England Internationals Nigel
Melville, Gareth Chilcott and Richard Hill!)
