All Competitions have now finished


In their last game of the season in the Gallery League the 'B'  team
lost away to Buckfastleigh BC 46 - 62 (2pts-8pts).

Congratulations to the ladies' Interclub team who won through to the
finals at Hemyock BC, only to go down to Kings BC. Also congratulations
to Mo. Harman and skip Pam. Medlock for reaching the semi- finals of
the Ladies Over 70 Pairs.


Brixham BC club held their Club Finals Day last Saturday with the following results:

Ladies Competitions

4Wood Singles champion is the
ladies Captain, Mo. Thomas.

Runner up is Bebs. Harvey.

2 Wood Singles winner is Thelma Bunney.

Runner up Marion Turner.

Handicap Competition winner Margaret Jenkins.

Novice Competition, winner Sheila Guest.

The Pairs Competition winners Jenny Moore and Jenny Hopkins.

The 2011 outdoor season is drawing to an end and it looks as if our MDL 'A' team maybe relegated!!


The MDL 'A' team played their last game of the season against T.C.B.C, 65 - 92 (2pts - 12pts).
B. Billinghurst 8, E. Devonport 27; J. Cherrington 22, T. Moore 16; C. Bailey 15, G. Heaven 26; J. Harding 20, T. Berry 23.


In their penultimate game the MDL 'B' team played Babbacombe BC 69 -98
(2pts - 12pts).
P. Bright 24, G. Harrison 29;  K. Penhaligon 13, B. Creedy 33; F. Hoare 12, T. Tucker 22;  M. Friend 20, B. Williamson 14.

The Ladies Gallery League 'A' team won their last game of the season
against Babbacombe BC 57 - 41 (8pts -2pts).
M. Thomas 10, J. Hunter 19;  R. Cherrington 27, K. Kelland 9; M. Pound 20, J. Quantick 13.


The ladies 'B' team just missed out  to Kings BC 'B' team in their penultimate game 52 - 55 (4pts - 6pts).
D. Langford 21, I. Horwell17; L. Oakden 19, A. Staples 15;  A. Grey 12, B. Target 23.

The winners this year of the trophy sponsored by Brixham Body Works was R. Moore partnered by Mrs. J. Saunders.

The runners up were G. Maule and Sally Hoare. Ann Stenning was the lucky winner of a luxury hamper donated by the sponsors.

In their annual quest for the Rose Bowl Trophy, Brixham BC regained it from St. Mary's BC.

The MDL 'B' had a successful trip to Buckfastleigh BC winning 73 - 72 (12pts. to 2pts).
M. Friend 19, D. Wareing 17; F. Hoare 14, J. Hoff 13; D. Hayden 17, J. Fox 20; P. Bright 23, B. Durben 21.

The MDL 'A' team was not so successful at Newton Abbot BC going down 61 - 88 (2pts - 12pts).
B. Billinghurst 9, A. Mann 26; C. Bailey 9, M. Howard 26; J. Cherrington 14, R. Johnson 22;  J. Harding 29, P. Underhill 13.

In the Gallery League the Ladies 'B' team won at home against Dartmouth BC. 71 - 49 (8pts - 2pts).
D. Langford 32, G. Bowden 16;  A. Stenning 25, J. Townsend 12; A. Grey 14, V. Gregory 21.

Last Sunday saw, in beautiful bowling weather,  the annual mixed pairs competition for the BRIXHAM BODYWORKS TROPHY.

It was won by Joan Sanderson and Roy Moore with Sally Hoare and Graham Maule as runners up.  Brixham Bowling Club wish to thank their sponsors, Brixham Bodyworks, for the sumptuous lunch, Cream Tea and the wonderful raffle
prize of a luxury Hamper which was won by Ann Stenning.

The MDL 'B' team lost to Upton Park BC in a tight game that did not fall Brixham's way. 75 to 76 (4pts - 10pts):
M. Friend 16 v F. King 15;  R. Harvey 14 v D.Bray 22; P. Bright 17 v B. Smith 19; G. Oakden 28 v T. Lang 20.

In the Riviera League at home against Paignton, Brixham lost 36 to 78 L. Oakden 11 v W.Geary 20;  B. Guest 15 v T. Brown 34; D. Langford 10 v A Beard 24.

The Ladies Gallery League 'A' team played away and narrowly missed out to Torbay Country BC. 47 to 49 (4pts. - 6pts):
R. Cherrington 17 v B. Beedell 13; M. Pound 11 v B. Leach 19; M. Thomas 19 v S. Cunningham 17.

The ladies 'B' team were more successful in their away game with Bickfastleigh BC winning 48 to 38 (9pts to 1pt):
L. Oakden 14 v S. Bowden 11;  A. Stenning 14 v D. Raggett 14;  D. Langford 20 v S. Joint 13.
