Lifeboat Week ends in
an eventful Open Day
With Brixham Harbour and Marina basking in glorious sunshine,
RNLI Open Day on July 27th provided locals and tourists with
plenty to see and do, culminating in the annual Search and Rescue
Demonstration at the Breakwater Beach.

Summer Show
Blooms!
This year the Brixham Horticultural Society were
pleased to see a large increase in attendance to their annual
Summer Flower Show, after taking the decision to move the event
held at the Scala Hall to the end of the week.

Brixham's Hap'Nin is a
huge success!
On Saturday July 12th St Mary's Park was packed with families
well before the school choirs launched the day's events at this
years Brixham Hap' Nin. Eden Park's Choir and Band got the party
started with their version of ‘Run for the sun', echoing everyones
desire for summer to get underway!

Summer Tea Dance
The Brixham Young Volunteers with the Brixham Youth Enquiry
Service YES were happy to host another successful Tea Dance
at the Scala Hall on Sat 5th July and were relieved that the
horrendous weather conditions didn't dampen the enthusiasm of
those attending.

A fine weathered Fair for the Gooseberry
Pie
Any threatening heavy showers were totally blown away as the
veteran Paignton to Dartmouth train steamed into Churston bringing
the large Gooseberry Pie made in Paignton by Halletts the Bakers.
