Hi my name is Annie. I’m on a very special mission at the moment for my little Grandson Joel (Now 11) and it would be great to have your patronage. He has cerebral palsy. NOT badly – it just affects his little legs, the rest of his body is fine. He plays wheelchair basket ball, & is BRILLIANT. My daughter Rebecca drives from Brixham to Exeter every Saturday for training with the ‘Exeter Otters’ Team. He’s in their development squad as he’s under 15. The main team is doing really well & has risen up the league table & are now in the premier league. This means that they have to travel all over the place to play, & need in excess of £7000 a year to survive! They were actually featured on Spotlight on BBC 1 a couple of months ago!
I have decided I must do something positive to help, so am going to do a sponsored SILENCE !!! (and I ALWAYS have too much to say, which is why what I’m doing is crazy. I promise you that I’m the chattiest person in the whole world!!) BUT I’m really determined to do this for 24 hours, AND I’m doing it on a Sunday, when I go to Church & normally sing in the choir (and THEN go into the hall for tea/coffee!)
It would be wonderful if you could help not only me but the Exeter Otters. This is the link for the site I’m using for sponsorship. You can take a look and see the lovely photos of Joel and his team. It’s https://www.gofundme.com/bballclub.Follow
