My dear creature as you are fluttering by,
I see the world in your wings, and wonder why,
How you came to be so attractive and so full of grace,
With the details of your design floating under my face,
Enticing me to study every part of your form,
Until I wonder where you came from and how yow were born.
Where did you come from, did you travelled far to me?
From another world, to my cabbages to feast and eat your tea,
Then lay your eggs and move on, so that life begins again,
Your children hidden under the leaves, protected from the rain.
Then beginning as an earthbound creature, a creeping caterpillar appears,
To fill up on these leaves expanding your body till it is quite clear,
A MIRACLE is needed to get a grub like you off the ground,
And develop the wings that flutter by without even making a sound!
Yes that’s just what it takes as your body is melted down,
Inside the cocoon that forms around you, so tightly like a gown.
Protecting the old body parts that decompose as new ones are created,
Out of a soup of molecules that is very concentrated,
Each molecule already programmed to invent a whole new creature,
So beautiful this time with a fine body and several flying features!
Indeed the life of every butterfly reminds me of yet another,
Who lived, was buried and rose again and chose to call me his brother,
Promising me a change forever that truly will be great,
To enjoy a whole new way of life LIKE Him in a beautiful new state,
Now cocooned safely in Him, soon I will also fly away,
Till then each precious butterfly I see, reminds me of that special day!Follow
