We have now raised just over £2,500 which will be split between Brixham Royal British Legion and Pride in Brixham.
The limited edition of 101 Red Poppies representing 101 years since the start of World War 1 have been on display in the town since March, at first in Brixham Library and then in the Bank Lane window of Santander.
We thank both venues for providing a display space so that the poppies could be seen by so many people.
They will be taken from Santander on Thursday 29th October and will be on display in St Mary’s Church for the Brixham Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance on the evening of Wednesday 4th November.
They will then be taken to the Remembrance Service at Brixham Cenotaph on Berry Head Road on Sunday 8th November. After this, those who donated will be able to collect their poppies. Details of dates and venue for collection to follow.
