Cadet Sea Ranger Tegan Luscombe, aged 12, will attend Buckingham Palace on Monday 18th April to present a card she designed for the Sea Ranger Association to celebrate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty The Queen.
Her Majesty and HRH The Princess Margaret were both invested as Sea Rangers in the 1940s.
Sea Rangers, now in their 96th year, ran a competition to design a card to be presented to Buckingham Palace.
The winning designer is a Cadet Sea Ranger from SRS Churchill in Brixham, Devon. Her design features images of Sea Rangers taking part in activities such as sailing, camping and canoeing, and the central image is a photograph of Her Majesty in Her Sea Ranger uniform in the 1940’s.
Competition entries were short listed by Sea Ranger Association Trustees and a winner was chosen by Moonpig Cards director Sarah-Jane Porter. Moonpig printed the winning card design.
Tegan said “I am over the moon to have won the competition and looking forward to the trip to the palace.”Follow
