Presentation of cheques for £2,600 to Brixham charities was made on Thursday 9th February.
For the second year, Izzie Lomas has been pleased to present the cheques to the Brixham Royal British Legion and Pride in Brixham. This year the Brixham Poppy has raised £2,600, bringing the total to £5,400. Each year the money has been split equally between Brixham Legion and Pride in Brixham.
Ceramic artist Izzie has hand-made a total of 203 limited edition Poppies, as well as a variety of other Poppy items ranging from lapel pin brooches to earrings and fridge magnets. Although there are no more limited edition Poppies available, Izzie will continue to make other items which can be seen at the Sunday Street Markets when they start again on March 12th, and once a month at the Methodist Community Centre coffee mornings on a Friday.
The items available can also be viewed in the Bank Lane window of Santander. Anyone needing further information, please contact Izzie on 01803-854191.
Izzie Lomas said “We would like to thank Brixham Library for the use of their gallery for display of the poppies, the Methodist Church for the use of their foyer during coffee mornings, and Santander for the continued use of their window to display our Poppy range. Also, a very big thank you to everyone who has supported our scheme and enabled us to raise such an amazing amount.”Follow
