Throughout July the RYA ran a special competition where clubs, training centres, marinas and other organisations signed up as Joining Points were in with a chance of winning some great prizes while at the same time earning commission for their organisation.
Thirty two Joining Point organisations took part in the month long competition, who between them introduced 150 new members to the benefits of RYA membership, however it was Bristol Maritime Academy who claimed overall victory.
Sarah Ashworth from Bristol Maritime Academy commented: “We are all very pleased to have won the RYA Joining Point competition and we are feeling very appreciated. As an RYA Joining Point we have been working hard to push RYA membership to all of our delighted clients. Thank you to everyone at the RYA, we are looking forward to sharing the prizes equally between our core team and we are especially excited for the Southampton Boat Show this year.”
As well as earning commission for each of the members signed up, Bristol Maritime Academy also clinched the bumper prize package made up of:
· A pair of Bollé Marine sunglasses,
· Spinlock Deckvest LITE lifejacket,
· Datatag Outboard Motor Theft Deterrent System,
· One pair of Sebago deck shoes
· Bulb Sailing Mates coach pack and Sailcloth Wallet,
· Two tickets to the 2016 Southampton Boat Show, and
· An RYA goody bag.
“The competition was just one way for us to say thank you to our Joining Point organisations for promoting the benefits of RYA membership. We’ve been delighted by all the hard work and effort they have put in during the month and we hope they enjoyed the added incentive of a bumper haul of prizes for their organisation”, commented Conor Swift, RYA Membership Development Manager.
