It was local visitors rather than holiday makers that made a very busy Good Friday for Pennywell Farm, near Buckfastleigh.
With the majority of schools only breaking up yesterday, most visitors to Devon may not have arrived yet but the car parks at Pennywell have been full with Devon families making the best of the Good Friday sunshine.
Pennywell’s owner, Chris Murray says: “We were delighted to see the sunshine this morning and even more delighted to see the visitors arriving at the farm. We had expected a relatively quiet Good Friday but it’s the local visitors that have kept us busy today”.
The farm opened the gates at 10am this morning and the visitors were still arriving at 2pm.
Suzanne Ganney from Buckfastleigh was visiting with friends and explained: “The forecast for the rest of the weekend was dreadful so we decided it was today or not at all. It’s been busy but we have loved cuddling the micro-pigs”.
Pennywell is open 10am to 5pm every day over the Bank Holiday Weekend.Follow
