This week, the pastor of the Beit Hallel Congregation from Israel, who assisted in the organising of our recent services there, emailed a wonderful report which we would like to share with you:

“Last week we organised an outreach conference with David Hathaway. This year he celebrated his 50th anniversary since his first ever visit to Israel in 1961. It was a very joyous celebration with the theme: Israel – yesterday, today and forever. He has a big heart and a big passion for Israel and its people – and it was reflected in his message.

“Over 3000 people attended the 3-day conference. Most of them non-believers and many of the guests at the conference were an older generation, holocaust survivors and many other Israelis. For most of them it was the first time they had ever heard the Gospel of a Jewish Messiah preached to them. Their response was overwhelming!

“On the first night in Karmiel more than 300 people responded to the altar call, and came forward to receive Yeshua (Jesus) as their Messiah! The second night over 400 people came to the front; on the third night hundreds rushed forward for salvation! It has exceeded all our expectations! We have never seen such a large number of people in Israel responding to the message of Yeshua.

“We were awestruck to see God in action as He restored and brought emotional healing to the remaining generation of holocaust survivors. While many times the youth gets all the focus and attention – it was indescribable to witness how God made a point of showing that He is not finished with the older generation.

“It brings tears to my eyes to realise how tremendously privileged we are to be living in Israel during these days and witnessing how God is fulfilling ancient prophecies right before our very eyes.”

Dr. Richard Parkhouse, Chairman and Trustee of Eurovision, reflected on the meetings:

“It is one thing to read about success in missions, but quite another to be there. David is a man of passion who speaks about the living Jesus to ordinary men and women, much as Jesus Himself did as He passed through the streets of the very land we witnessed last week. A simple Bible story comes to life, as David’s listeners realise its relevance to them and, with it, their own needs, which the living Jesus is there to meet – and He does!

“Almost every time, there came that moment in each person when long term despair suddenly turned into great joy. That inner realisation in the heart and upon the face is the most precious thing we can ever hope to see. It is a transaction of forgiveness and love, done in Heaven. As always, it is His work and His are the miracles.”

We would encourage you to watch these services knowing that God is able to do far more than we dare ask, think or imagine. He will hear and answer your prayers just as He did for so many in Israel.

We realise that as the anointing of the Holy Spirit on this ministry increases, so do the calls for us to extend the Missions to other countries. It is clear to us in our praying here that the challenge is not to pray simply for finance for individual missions like Israel, but for the Lord to touch the hearts of larger churches or business men to increase their support. To do what is in our hearts and enter the open doors of evangelism before us we need the Lord to increase our income by £100,000 per month.

The challenge of faith which is facing us right now is either to reduce our evangelism (and our faith) to the size of our present budget – or increase our income (and our faith) to the size of the vision God has given us through His Word.
