Creative Writing High on Rock Walk

 

On Thursday 19th May at 10.30am Sam Watson will be holding a writing workshop on the new Rock Walk platform where there are spectacular views of the Bay. This is part of the Torbay Adult Learners' Week celebrations and is open to people who would like to use the location as the impetus for poetry and prose.

Sam is an experienced teacher who has worked with the ACE ‘Write Way' Group for the past five years, inspiring them to produce a book of their own work which is currently being printed and will be launched at the Torbay Adult Learners Award ceremony this Friday evening.

There are still places in Sam's two hour workshop. To join call Brixham ACL on 01803 853302.

Bring a notepad and pen along. Angie Weatherhead from Torbay Library Service has offered to display the finished work at Torquay Library.

Please note if it is wet the group will meet at the Pierpoint café, which is opposite Rock Walk.

 

Rock Walk was funded under the Sea Change programme and is part of the English Riviera Geopark. This is a precursor to the Geopark Festival May 30th - June 5th.
