A New Competition to enjoy the ‘Buccaneers Way'

Those mischievous purveyors of fun, the Brixham Buccaneers, want to put everyone in the picture about an exciting new competition.

Spokesman David Croney, aka No Eyes Ron said, "We recently launched 2 waymarked walks in Brixham and we know people will be taking photos along the way because the views are so lovely, and the cottages so quaint and colourful!”

David went on to say, "If people send us their photos taken on either walk by 31 Oct 2011, with a completed entry form, we will enter them in a competition. Entry is free and open to all and there is £30 in prizes."

The walks are called ‘Blackbeard's Trail', and ‘Buccaneers Way'. They start and finish on the harbourside and free leaflet guides are available for both at the Brixham TIC-(Tourist Information Centre) and many other outlets in the town as well as being downloadable from the Buccaneers' website.

Pirate Competition

Dr Sarah Wollaston MP recently walked the Buccaneers Way accompanied by a motley crew of pirates and was happy to launch the photographic competition.

Entry forms for the competition are available from the TIC, David's Health Foods in Bolton Street, and downloadable from www.brixhambuccaneers.co.uk

Whilst Blackbeard's Trail takes you from the Prince William Statue, out towards to Battery Gardens, Buccaneers Way takes you on a guided tour around the town, with the excellent FREE Leaflet Guides highlighting features and pointing out facts about some of Brixham's historical treasures.

David said,"We look forward to more and more people finding out how beautiful and interesting Brixham is!"
