Dear Ministry Partner

When we evangelise, we must go in power, not weakness – in my own weakness, yes, but in the power and the might of God. The Scripture says God's strength is made perfect in our weakness. When we are at our weakest, at our most fallible – God begins to work in us! And God can't begin to move in us until He breaks down what we are and what we have, until we are utterly and completely dependent on Him. God allows problems to come in order to drive us to prayer. It's when we are in our extremities of need that God steps in and takes over. While we have everything we need, we are strong only because of our own strength. Isaiah 48:10 says we are tried and chosen in the furnace of affliction and for His sake we are rescued.

My experience with God is step by step. – Every step, however difficult, however impossible, is another miracle towards experiencing the power of God! Proverbs 20:24 says that when our steps are ordered by the Lord, how can we understand our own way? Our responsibility is to trust God through every circumstance. Andrae Crouch, the songwriter, wrote: ‘I've had many tears and sorrows; I've had questions for tomorrow; but in every situation, God gave me blessed consolation that my trials only come to make me strong; through it all I've learned to trust in Jesus, I've learned to depend upon His Word.'

Please pray for our services in Israel next week! 28, 29, 30 April.

Jesus said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed, who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity.

On Thursday 28 April, we are holding a special service with the Association of Holocaust Survivors. These men and women have experienced the worst hatred known to man – many cried out for help, but yet heaven felt shut. Elie Wiesel, writing in his autobiographical book ‘Night' said, ‘There are those who tell me that I survived in order to write this text. I am not convinced. I don't know how I survived; I was weak, rather shy; I did nothing to save myself. A miracle? Certainly not. If heaven could or would perform a miracle for me, why not for others more deserving than myself? It was nothing more than chance. However, having survived, I needed to give some meaning to my survival.' Francois Mauriac in the Foreword to the same book wrote by way of an ‘answer': ‘And I, who believe that God is love, what answer was there to give? What did I say? Did I speak to him of that other Jew, this crucified brother who perhaps resembled him and whose cross conquered the world? Did I explain to him that what had been a stumbling block for his faith had become a cornerstone for mine? And that the connection between the cross and human suffering remains, in my view, the key to the unfathomable mystery in which the faith of his childhood was lost? … We do not know the worth of one single drop of blood, one single tear. All is grace. If the Almighty is the Almighty, the last word for each of us belongs to Him.'

Please continue to pray urgently:

  • ‘Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God's mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.' (Ephesians 6:19)

  • For wisdom from the Holy Spirit so that the Gospel message will touch Jewish hearts.

  • Especially for the evangelism to the Holocaust Survivors on the 28 April.

  • For the main evangelistic meetings in the Tel Aviv Auditorium 29 and 30 April.

  • For the Lord Himself to supply the remaining finance we need, especially for the transport.

  • That the Lord will deliver from every demonic attack and hindrance from the extreme Yad Leachim (Psalm 91:3). Jesus said, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:28).

  • That the faithful promises of the Lord will be our armour and protection (Psalm 91:4).

  • That no evil will conquer us – that the Lord will command His angels to protect us wherever we go (Psalm 91:20-11).

  • That even in days of (economic) famine we shall enjoy plenty (Psalm 37:19).

Thank you for your prayerful support through the years . – All the main services from Israel will be broadcast LIVE on our website (28, 29, 30 April). Watch the evangelism and be encouraged by what God is doing through your support! www.propheticvision.org.uk/media

It is fifty years since I first went to Israel. In May 1961, after ten years as a full-time pastor and evangelist in Britain, my ministry to Russia and Europe began when I organised the first overland expedition to Jerusalem by road, travelling behind the Iron Curtain through Arab countries and into Israel. I was determined to attend a World Pentecostal Conference in Jerusalem; I wanted an experience with God that was incorruptible, that could not be destroyed, that would last until the appearing of Christ!

Many people contact us with prayer requests:

If you are facing a difficult circumstance today, God's grace (His favour, mercy and loving-kindness) is with you in every circumstance: His grace is not only a saving power, but an enabling power. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says that God's grace is sufficient against any danger and enables us to bear up under any trouble (Amplified Version). We have a wonderful group of people who set aside time each week to pray individually for those who ask for specific prayer. – It is our pleasure to stand in faith with you.
