Dear
Brixham
I was visiting Brixham
last week during Pirates Day and took the attached picture of
Jonty Depp with my daughter Chloe (left side) and her friend
Jamie (right side).
Regards, Martin.
P.S. I also have photos
of the Red Devils as they landed at the harbour.... darned fast
they were too! |
The
Brooking Family History Society
This Society was started
by a small band of enthusiasts back in 1982. They pooled their
knowledge and searched high and low to find people with the
name of Brooking, wrote to them and invited them to join the
new Society.

Dear Brixham News
I am 14 years old
and am in foster care. I always thought my dad was my real
dad, however it turns out he isn't. As I am not in contact
with my mother, it is very difficult to find information.
All I know is that
his name is Chris...and he was a fisherman in Brixham around
15 years ago.
My mother was called
Gayle... I just want to find out more about him. If anyone
knows anything about him please contact me...through info@brixhamnews.com
to forward any contact details for me.

TIP OF THE WEEK
Have you heard about the Saturday Art & Drama classes at Brixham
College??
They are subsidised by the College Art Department and run by the
superb Jo & Sam from Create Workshops. Two of my little
critters attend and absolutely love it!! They're on every Saturday
morning, 9.30am to 12 noon and cost £3.50 per week, per
child (you don't have to attend every week). |

Good Morning
My name is Bruce and I teach at Lindens school in Birmingham
We intend to turn our library into a deck on a old sailing ship.
Could you give me any ideas where or how I might acquire rigging,
net, rope
etc. and anything nautical that is unwanted.
Regards Bruce

Hi Brixham
Forgive me for interrupting your news info but I wonder if anyone
in Brixham can help me I am trying to contact a woman called Clare
Angela Williams
she used to live in Brixham a few years ago (in the 1980s) but
I believe she moved to Yorkshire. She may have friends still
living in Brixham.
She comes from a large Navy family and I believe her 3 brothers
were all in the Navy. I would dearly love to get in contact
with her as we have lost touch some time ago.
Any information would be gratefully received

Very interesting talking to you. Have since had a look at your
website
and it is a very good idea. I wish other towns in Devon would
take such a pride in their localities and do the same sort of
thing.
