Summer Tea Dance
The Brixham Young
Volunteers with the Brixham Youth Enquiry Service YES were happy
to host another successful Tea Dance at the Scala Hall on Sat
5th July and were relieved that the horrendous weather conditions
didn't dampen the enthusiasm of those attending. |
 |
 |
| Indeed over 50 keen dancers turned up,
with a few giving apologise for not being able to attend and some
even donating raffle prizes as they had enjoyed the event so much
in the past and wanted to continue supporting it. |
|
|
Everyone was keen
to see whose ticket was drawn first, as first prize on this
occasion was a DVD player donated by YES, after they had received
it as a free gift with their order from office supplier Viking.
|
|
|
During
the two hour session the interval for Tea provided Will and
James with the opportunity to entertain those enjoying the large
spread of food prepared by the Young Volunteers. |
|
|
| Also the visual game ‘Where B2 in Brixham?'
kept everyone guessing at their tables, until they returned to
the floor. |
|
Young
Volunteers Fergie, Anna, James and Will were pleased that the
event raised £160 which helps them finance these community
events and as they look forward to the next one, many of those
taking part agreed that, ‘this is a great afternoon's entertainment
and extremely good value for money!'
We
thank Michael Jimenez for his time to take and supply
the Summer Tea Dance photos.
