The tournament in memory of Pete who died in 2002 and Alan who died in 2006, has been organised by friend Jack Daniels, to celebrate the fact that both men were keen darts players, often to be found winning matches at the Sea Anglers Club.

This year's tournament went on for four and a half hours and no one actually won the Fred Gilroy Cup which involved a bull's eye shoot out!

This year ‘The Coley Cup' and the £100 prize money went to John Tutton, with Jared Rafferty runner up receiving £50, and Louise Arr for her highest checkout in the tournament received the Alan Castle Trophy and prize money, which she immediately donated to the money being collected at this charity event.

Every year the tournament, raised money during the evening through entrance fees, raffle and donations, with £500 this year's total donated to the Lupton House Trust. Julie and Wendy, the former wives of Pete and Alan, each year are asked to select a charity or local organisation for the money to be donated to, and this year both chose the Lupton House Trust as the beneficiary. Janet Howard received the cheque on behalf of Lupton House.

Jack said, “I have so many people to thank for helping make the evening such a success and thanks to everyone who donated on the night. I must say a special thanks to Martin Breyley, of Harmony Profiles Ltd for donating prize money, Mark Criddle for gifting the permanent tankard prizes for the winners, Brixham Jewellers for engraving the trophies for free and the Sea Anglers for providing the venue as well as their donations. The money that is raised always benefits Brixham in some way. ”
