of 51 people will be travelling from Brixham to the East coast
of America to visit the Mayflower II, celebrating 50 years since
the vessel was completed in the harbour at Upham's shipyard
and set sail for America.

Summer
blooms in Brixham
'Stunning'
was the only word to describe the colourful exhibition greeting
those entering the Scala Hall on the 1st of August, where a
vast array of blooms packed out the Annual Summer Flower Show
hosted by the Brixham Horticultural Society.

Weekend
manoeuvres at the Battery
Last weekend (9th
& 10th June) Battery Gardens provided the setting for the
Heritage Battery Groups presentation of the Battery through
the ages. On Saturday they were helped in re-creating a sense
of the past with Blitz and Peace's providing musical interludes
with ukulele and vocal duets.

some of the past history of the vessel 'Our Unity'.
