YEAR 5 / 6 NETBALL FESTIVAL

On Thursday, 11th February, Churston Ferrers Grammar School plated host to 130 very excited Year 5 and 6 pupils from White Rock, Galmpton, Furzeham, Brixham C of E, Chestnut, Roselands and Tower House at the Year 10 Young Leaders Netball Festival.

The event was held inside in a very packed and busy sports hall with limited space, the leaders performed a fantastic job of adapting their skills and game sessions for the numerous children that attended.

The primary school pupils thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon with some of the pupils having their first experience of ‘high 5' netball. A big thank you goes out to the Year 10 leaders who were a credit to Churston Ferrers Grammar School plus Mrs Gomez and Mrs Mills, who ran the six week block of leader training and co-ordinated the running of the afternoon.
