National Netball Tournament
Churston Ferrers Grammar
School's Under 16 netball team comprising of girls from both
years 10 and 11 competed on Tuesday afternoon (04/10/2011) for
the prestigious honour of representing the South West Region
in the National Schools Event later this year.

On Friday, 30th September,
students in various year groups at Churston Ferrers Grammar
School helped to take part in the world's biggest coffee morning
in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Christmas
Shoe Boxes
This is the seventh
year running that Churston Ferrers Grammar School has helped
disadvantaged children throughout the world. Operation Christmas
Child is an initiative of Samaritan's Purse – a Christian relief
and development organisation which works through local churches
overseas amongst communities in need in Africa, Eastern Europe
and Central Asia.

International suit-up
day came around once again, this October 13th, 2011. The day
originated from a Facebook group, urging people to go to work/school/university
in a suit, made by fanatics of character ‘Barney Stinson' from
hit U.S television series, How I Met Your Mother.

Studies students put theory into practice on the last day of
the summer term. As the rest of the school returned from the
annual sponsored walk around the bay they were greeted by an
array of stalls organised by the sixth formers.

I'm doing a sponsored
swim to raise money for Aspire. This involves swimming 22 miles
over the course of 12 weeks. Aspire also runs a competition
to find the best photo of someone wearing their Swimming Hat.

Sasha
wins Dartmouth Junior Regatta
Sasha
from Churston Ferrers Grammar School started sailing her new
lasar dinghy with the Royal Dart Yact Club this summer and won
many events including Dartmouth Junior Regatta.

Visit to China
In July, I visited
China on the school trip, where we spent a couple of days each
in Shanghai, Beijing and Xi'an. It was an amazing experience
and we all learnt so much about different cultures, history
and lifestyle.
