Rowcroft Hospice teams
up with the Shoal of Brixham Artists to launch 2009 calendar.
Following the huge
success of last year's calendar, Rowcroft and the renowned Shoal
of Brixham Artists have joined together to create another stunning
calendar to raise vital funds for the hospice.

‘We
are delighted to continue our partnership with Brixham Shoal
and are incredibly grateful to them for donating a further collection
of their individual images for our 2009 calendar. Last year's
calendar was such a success that it sold out long before the
New Year and we are sure that it will be just as popular this
year.' |

The Shoal of Brixham Artists has generously donated
images of South Devon to create Rowcroft Hospice's 2009 calendar.
The collective of artists who are based in Brixham all have their
individual styles and work in a variety of mediums – pastels,
inks, watercolours, oils and photography. The images by the South
Devon artists have all been specially selected and will be on
display at the special celebration event. |

Nicky
Stevenson, Chairman of the Shoal of Brixham Artists comments;
“We are
so thrilled to be working with Rowcroft Hospice and supporting
a charity for whose work we have so much admiration for. All
proceeds from this calendar go directly to the hospice and we
hope to sell even more than we did last year!” |
| Artists who have contributed to the
calendar are John Gillo, Chris Slack, Ian Millstone, Nicky Stevenson,
Monica Gamble, Lynne Peets, Pru Preston and Julia Finzel. |
| |
The
2009 calendar will officially be celebrated at an event on
Sunday 26th October, from 4pm – 6pm.
The public are invited
to join the artists and representatives from Rowcroft at the
Breakwater Bistro, Berry Head Road , Brixham, where they can
enjoy live music and see the specially selected artwork on display.
|
The calendar
will be available from the Rowcroft Hospice shops, the Breakwater
Bistro and Friends of Rowcroft events from September and will
cost £4.50.
The aim of the calendar
is to raise vital funds for the local charity who care for people
in South Devon living with life limiting illnesses. |
