PLANT SALE and OPEN DAY at Brixham Adult and Community Learning Centre on Friday 17th June 11-3pm

The ACE garden is completely accessible and has been created by physically disabled adult students (who are members of Access to Community Education - ACE) and supported by volunteers. The new section has a raised bank that is being transformed into a Devon Hedgerow plus vegetable beds which will be opened by Cllr Martyn Hodge, Chairman of Brixham Town Council at 11am.

ACE is inviting the public in to buy the plants they have grown in their polytunnel much cheaper than from shops or garden centres. The plant sales enable members to buy more seeds and equipment to maintain the garden. At 11.30am, tutor Katie Babbs, will give a short talk on to grow vegetables, healing plants and flowers. There will be tasty home made cakes and refreshments and the chance to purchase craft pottery.

At 2pm the ACE music class will provide entertainment in this beautiful setting enhanced by sculptures made from recycled materials.

The event is open to all. Plants on sale include: fuchsias, petunias, marigolds, busy lizzies, osteospermums, vegetable plants including tomatoes, chillies and cucumbers, geraniums.  Basket plants such as nemesias, bacopa, helichrysum.
