Exhibition moves onto Torquay library

An exhibition of photography, creative writing and painting inspired by free taster courses at Kents Cavern has just moved from the caves to Torquay Library where it is on show for a month in the foyer entrance.

Examples on show are the outcome of three short classes where 40 participants enjoyed learning new skills. They used acrylic paint to create cave art, photographed the cave rock formations and wrote about the subterranean world.

The show moves onto Paignton Library for the two week Geopark Festival on May 29th.

It is hoped that similar courses will be on offer later this year as part of the Brixham Adult & Community Learning autumn programme.

It is not too late to join another photography course with Graham Hodgson at Brixham and John Turk who taught the acrylic painting course will be teaching Sea, Sky and Ships as an out door course in June. For further details call 01803 853302 or pick up the summer flyer from your local library.

Other Geopark free courses this term at Brixham are based around Shoalstone pool in Adult Learners' week May 17th and include creative writing, a marine trail for families, geology walk and talk about the history of the pool.
