Christmas Shoe Boxes

This is the seventh year running that Churston Ferrers Grammar School has helped disadvantaged children throughout the world. Operation Christmas Child is an initiative of Samaritan's Purse – a Christian relief and development organisation which works through local churches overseas amongst communities in need in Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Shoe boxes
Operation Christmas Child is the world's largest children's Christmas project – devoted to spreading love, joy and smiles to children who really need them in disadvantaged parts of the world. Some of these children have never received a Christmas gift in their entire lives.

Overall 62 boxes were donated by Churston students this year and these are currently speeding their way by plane, boat, lorry, camel to countries such as Swaziland, Kyrgyzstan, India and Ukraine just to mention a few.

This was part of the schools “Children In Need” fundraising events.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this worthwhile cause.
