Stephen presented certificates
to candidates who had studied for the City & Guilds Adult
Numeracy and Literacy Certificate and NCFE Volunteering Certificate
and NCFE Working with Children and Young People Certificate.
Stephen congratulated
them on their endeavours and said “ It is not easy going back
to study when you are an adult with a family and work to consider,
but you have provided a great example to your children. You
have all shown the necessary commitment to pass the on-line
test for Numeracy and Literacy or have produced a portfolio
of evidence for the Volunteering and Working with Children courses.
|
| This is not easy, but very worthwhile,
as it leads onto further study and work opportunities. We are
delighted that so many people here tonight will be coming over
to study at Vantage Point. I would like to commend the tutors
who made this possible.” |

to work”.
Sarah Harper has received
certificates for NCFE Working with Children and Young People
and also Level 2 Literacy Her advice for any prospective students
is “Just go for it! A lot of people take their time building
up the courage to begin but once you're enrolled you're away”.

to gain qualifications in NCFE Working with Children and Young
People and NCFE Volunteering as well as achieving Level 2 Certificates
in Literacy and Numeracy. |
Tracey said
“When I started I was worried about what learning was going
to be like now I'm older. Now I've started I can't stop. I take
more in because I want to and I know more about life” Tracey
has now signed up for the NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants and is
continuing her voluntary role at her daughter's school with
