'I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.'

Atheists declare ‘hurt' and ‘offence'?

Perhaps to stop Christians answering their arguments for atheism. Calvin Smith shows how it works in his experience and how you can handle it.

Put the persecuted church on our government's agenda!

Join our latest campaign: prompt your MP to take action in support of persecuted Christians and religious liberty today.

Email your MP and ask them to sign EDM 877 * , which urges this government – and future governments – to raise and pursue concerns about human rights and religious liberty when dealing with foreign governments.

You will make your MP aware of the reality of persecution across the world, and also show them that this is a matter of concern to their constituents.

With a General Election looming, your MP will be eager to show you that they are working on your behalf, so please seize this vital opportunity to prompt them to think about the persecuted church and take action in support of religious liberty.

With best wishes,

‘Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.'  Philippians 3:13-14

“Sixty years of ministry is not a time for looking back, but looking forward. In the last ten years I have seen more of the blessing and the power of God than in all my life before. I have not finished the job I began 60 years ago, and I cannot finish until Christ returns. In these days God is going to pour out His spirit like never before. I can never stop, I can never give up. I want to be part of what God is doing! – I believe the best is yet to come.”

Q: What's wrong with death and suffering?

Evolution requires death. At its core, Darwin's postulate appeals to the power of death to remove those less able to survive so that the “more fit” can take their place. Natural selection, in this Darwinian sense, toils mindlessly on, removing individuals, populations, and even entire species. Whether something—or someone—lives or suffers, Darwinism offers only the cold machinations of time and death. Anything more would require existential purpose, after all, and that cannot be allowed.

Warmest Greetings for the New Year!

This year I am celebrating 60 years in ministry – but I have not done enough! God so impressed Romans 12:1 on me when I was a teenager: ‘I beseech you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.' God is talking about normal service, nothing exceptional. So often churches are talking about being normal, taking care of yourself, not working too hard… But the challenge is ‘reasonable service' – giving your life as a ‘living sacrifice'! When I was just 15, I was on holiday with some friends in Brighton, and one Saturday night, walking alone along the beach, God began to speak to me and a spiritual battle began in my life. I knew God was calling me.

Ben Stein

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are, Christmas trees.

Top10 Myths about Creation

You have armed me with strength for the battle – 2 Samuel 22:40

On the 19 November, the EU became a totally federal state with a President and Foreign Minister. The interpretation of the statue in Daniel 2 regarding succeeding world empires shows that the EU is the last empire, and will be destroyed only at the return of Christ.

‘Glory be to God who by His mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of – infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.' Ephesians 3:20 (TLB)

The crusade in Vilnius, Lithuania, is the largest crusade we have held in Europe – and probably the largest since the great Billy Graham rallies. It cost us everything we have – but the results are tremendous. – Thank you for praying – Thank you for giving.
