In our last prayer email we asked you to pray over our urgent financial needs for the crusades in October. We had an urgent need for £200,000 within the next two weeks – followed by another £200,000 in September to pay for the evangelism in Vilnius, Lithuania (15, 16, 17 October). It is as if the devil is hindering us because of the power of God in last year's crusade in Lithuania! Even the President of the country is involved this year – this is how powerfully God is shaking these nations!

We are always under financial pressure at this time of the year – but this year is more difficult because we are holding four major crusades, whereas last year it was only one major nationwide crusade! Praise God, our income is slightly up on last year, but not enough! Our difficulty is ‘cash flow', for those who understand finance. We are having to pay most of the crusade costs months in advance, to cover rent of the stadium and advertising, as well as all the other costs. And unless this is done on time, we cannot confirm dates, and the advertising is not effective. We have to take into account the fact that we are working in countries which are poor and they cannot give us any credit. In the UK you have a month to pay after you receive the service– in Lithuania they do nothing unless the money is in an account in their country in advance!

Please pray strongly – the crisis is that today we must send £50,000 and we don't have enough in the account – next Wednesday a further £50,000, then two weeks later a further £100,000 – the balance in October! This needs a real miracle!

Business friends who would normally help us are also having serious cash flow problems because of the economic crisis. Although the charity (Eurovision) owns our office property in England and also in Ukraine without mortgage – the bank will not allow us even a working overdraft – despite the assets on our balance sheet. You understand how urgent our need is right now!

Yes, the cost is high to preach the Gospel – but what we are doing is not just touching individuals or even cities, but touching governments and nations. Elijah, in 1 Kings 18, demonstrated the power of God to a whole nation. – So strong was the evidence of God's power that Israel repented in one day!

All my life I have taken amazing risks for God in order to fulfil His call on my life. It takes tremendous courage. Jesus is the only one who can deliver! And He wants to! He wants to reach out to you! When Peter had the courage to step out of that boat on the stormy sea and begin to walk towards Jesus, he looked down and became afraid! Although Jesus had called him, logically he was going to drown! But for this one man, Jesus worked an incredible miracle: – seeing his faith waver, Jesus came across the water, through the darkness of the night, and rescued him! In the darkness of our lives, in the moment of our fear, our crisis, we will always find the Jesus who loves us, who gave His life for us, in order to rescue and deliver us. God is closest to us, not when we are on top of the world, but in our crisis, in our fear and despair.

Please join me in prayer and faith that God will supply the finance to meet this urgent need – and that He will again shake Lithuania – more powerfully – this October!

We cannot promise a return on your investment into evangelism – because the Bible says only God gives the increase – nor can we promise healing or the salvation of friends through money given, because the Bible is clear that we cannot buy God's favour! All I can say is that you are sowing a seed for eternity and you will share the reward with me in the Kingdom for souls won. And you can see for yourself how many repent, how many are miraculously healed – this is what you will take into the Kingdom as a result of your praying and giving!

We also stand in faith with you, for your need, whatever it is. God is our Father, we are His. It is His job to care for us, and our job to realise that He does. In every circumstance of your life, talk to Jesus, trust Him. Philippians 4:6 says: Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything, tell God what you need and thank Him for what He has done!

I want to thank you again for your faithful partnership through the years – as I celebrate 60 years in ministry, it is in recognition of what God has done and in anticipation of what He WILL do! – The best is yet to come! I appreciate your support – it is a wonderful answer to prayer. Together, in the Kingdom, we will see the fruit of our shared labour.
