We are God’s workmanship

We are God's workmanship, recreated in Christ Jesus that we may do those good works which God planned beforehand for us – taking paths which He prepared ahead of time – that we should live the life He prearranged and made ready for us to live. Ephesians 2:10 (Amp)

Looking back over 60 years of ministry, so many times God has told me to do things that other people would say are crazy. But when God says go, I go, and I have seen the most amazing things! I have seen revival come and touch a nation – in Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Georgia, Lithuania … and I believe that God can, and will touch the Netherlands and Poland this year!

People tell me, “Your vision is too big, keep it within reason, keep it small!” But this is the challenge: God's vision is bigger than mine, bigger than yours! God has a plan for each of us which He prearranged and made ready – but we need to step in to it!

For three years I have been visiting the Netherlands at the invitation of Pastor/Missionary Hans Tims who is leader of a group of churches – with a view to holding nationwide evangelism. Just last week I was telling a group of 200 Dutch pastors that the secret of spiritual success is to be in the right place at the right time! This has been so evident in my life for 60 years and now, God has a set time for Holland. I said: look at what we saw in October last year in Lithuania; we filled the largest auditorium in the Baltics – in three days 40,000 people came! Believers brought their unbelieving friends. In one village, the number of people they brought to the meetings and who repented, was 10 times the population of that village! – Just imagine what God can do in the rest of Europe!

God is challenging me. Three years ago, He called me out of Russia into the Baltics; but now He is saying, come out of the Baltics into Europe! I believe God wants to use the Netherlands and Poland in a remarkable way. If we will pray and call upon Him, God will answer!

A week ago I was praying over these issues in the Panorama Restaurant on top of the Zugspitze in Austria. Looking out over the narrow rocky path that leads from the restaurant to the top of the mountain, I remembered how last summer, I was absolutely amazed at the people walking across that slippery bit of rock in order to reach a cross which stands inches from a 3000 meter drop. Today, men and women need to risk everything to reach out to the Cross; people need Jesus!

Whilst I was away, God spoke to me clearly from two scriptures – they are part of God's covenant to me that is literally being fulfilled!

‘“Every part of this plan,” David said, “was given to me in writing from the hand of the Lord.” And David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God – my God – will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord' (1 Chronicles 28:19-20).

‘You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you' (John 15:16).

While I was on the mountain top praying, I was seeking God's will over Holland and Israel in particular. Holland was clearly confirmed by the Lord, but I was hesitant over Israel, remembering this issue – ‘the right time and the right place'. However the rapid change in Lebanon, then Tunisia and now Egypt and Jordan, and the urgent cry from the Messianic Brethren in Israel, has sealed the certainty.

We shall evangelise in Israel either at the end of April or the beginning of May. By the end of next week we should know the exact dates when the venue is available. Then we shall quickly need to pray in the £150,000 it will cost. Despite all the financial problems last year we increased our expenditure on evangelism by a massive £550,000! What a miracle, this, only God could do – by encouraging you to support!

There is still a tremendous amount to be done in this, my 61 st year of ministry. Having put my hand to the plough I cannot turn back. My life's work is to preach the Gospel. The Apostle Paul, writing to the Philippians, said that there has never been the slightest doubt that the God who started this great work will bring it to a flourishing finish!

The ministry starts this month in Ukraine – I want to fire up the churches, to challenge them to rise up in a new way, to work for the glory of God! – All these meetings will be broadcast LIVE on our website. The evangelistic campaigns we do today cost us more than in previous years, but touch more people than ever before – the size of the projects is too great for us alone – which makes us utterly dependent on God. After 60 years of Ministry I have learnt that when we step out, walking by faith and not sight, God will do more than we can ask or imagine!

Many people contact us with prayer requests: We have a wonderful group of people who set aside time each week to pray individually for those who ask for specific prayer. – It is our pleasure to stand in faith with you knowing that Jesus is able, and wants to meet every need (Mark 1:40-42). Jesus died not only that we would be forgiven, but so that we can have health and healing – and live in peace (Isaiah 53:5).
