Armenia Praise Report!

Many people say that the day of mass evangelism is over – but look at what happened in Armenia – this demonstrates the miraculous power of God! Just before I left for Slovakia, I had a phone call from the Pastors in Armenia telling me that after our Easter crusade meetings in April, the government officials summoned the pastors for a meeting.

Eurovision
These officials, who had attended the crusade, had only praise for the meetings. So much so that they said they will cancel the proposed new law which would have restricted the evangelicals and refused them permission to evangelise or to hold meetings outside their churches or even to rent buildings.

The same officials said they will support any application for me to return and rent halls and advertise.

This is an incredible miracle – our crusades in Armenia convinced the government to change their law and grant religious freedom to the evangelicals! Truly this is the way that revival begins! But we must act on this freedom – and let God change the whole nation! – This is what mass evangelism can do – this is what your praying for this ministry has been able to achieve!

David Hathaway

Slovakia Crusade Praise Report!

At the beginning of June David held crusades in Poprad and Kosice, Slovakia. – Thousands attended with almost all the unbelievers giving their lives to Christ – including drug addicts and alcoholics – and many, especially men, were powerfully healed. The secular TV filmed the opening meetings in Poprad, and afterwards interviewed him, the organisers of the meetings, and some of the participants. The TV reporters reacted positively to the way the people came forward to repent and pray. The reaction of the TV is so significant; it is a sign of God's favour on Slovakia. The second night of the crusade in Kosice was filmed by STV (Slovak State TV). The pastors have a vision for the whole of Slovakia and have begun to plan for a nationwide crusade!

Kharkov, Ukraine Crusades: 3, 4, 5 July 2009

Today – (Thursday 2 July) – David flies to Ukraine to hold his first crusades in the city of Kharkov, Ukraine. Kharkov is the second largest city in Ukraine – although Ukrainian is taught in all education establishments, the language which is primarily spoken is Russian – a legacy of the Soviet era when it was the first capital of Soviet Ukraine.

This crusade is being largely organised by our Russian organisers from the church we work with in Perm, Russia – Pastor Eduard, the Senior and Founding Pastor, was originally from Ukraine before he moved to Perm as a missionary. The timing of this crusade is critical as Ukraine is experiencing an economic and political collapse – please pray that, as in Armenia, God will move on the people by the power of the Holy Spirit.

According to official figures, the Ukrainian economy shrank by 20.3% in the first three months of the year, making the Ukraine one of the worst affected countries during this global economic crisis. Ukraine's precarious financial position has affected the supply of gas to Europe – in January the Russian gas giant Gazprom cut off supplies to much of Europe as part of a dispute with Kiev over payments, debts and prices. Ukraine is also suffering from a political crisis, with a deep rift between President Yushchenko and the Prime Minister – who were both former allies during the pro-Western Orange Revolution of 2004.

Proverbs 21:1 says ‘the King's heart is like a stream of water directed by the Lord: he guides it wherever He pleases'. We know with confidence that the Lord directs the heart of man – that He can bring stability into a chaotic political and financial crisis – and that He will use this crusade to turn the heart Ukraine to Himself in this tumultuous time.

Lithuania Crusade, 9, 10, 11 October

Please continue to stand in faith with us for our crusades in Vilnius, Lithuania 9, 10, 11 October. These crusades, held in the Siemens Arena, are the follow-up to our breakthrough Estonia meetings last year. Just as in Estonia, we are working with all denominations: Methodists, Catholics, Lutherans and Evangelicals among others. We expect thousands of unbelievers to come – the advertising has been arranged; but it is only prayer that will change this nation. Jesus said, if He be lifted up, He would draw all men.

We are arranging for film crews from TBN Europe to attend – in addition, we anticipate that many of the local secular media will report on the event. We are also printing 200,000 Prophetic Vision crusade newspapers in three languages – these will be widely circulated to encourage the non-believers to attend.

This crusade needs regular prayer – we know that prayer made the difference in Tallinn, Estonia – and it will do so again in Lithuania.

CNBC Europe

All our crusades are shown weekly on CNBC Europe. – Recently a woman from Denmark wrote into the office. She had been suffering with a pain in her stomach for 5 years, the doctors were going to operate, but during the programme she called upon Jesus and was healed! The operation is now being cancelled! On Sunday we received an email from Belgium: the viewer is amazed to see that the miracles Jesus did are still happening today. – We show these miracles on the programme because they are the testimony and the proof that the Bible is real – that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow; that He is still moved with compassion for people (Matthew 20:34).

We thank God for your support – both by your prayer and your sacrificial giving. Without you and without the power of Holy Spirit, it would be impossible – yet the blessing increases, the power of God becomes stronger, the numbers finding Christ and the miracles are greater each year.

Yours in Christ
