Call
for nominations for the South Devon Skills Awards
Nominations
are open until 20 January to enter the free awards to recognise
skills improvement in the south Devon area. Entries are called
for from employers, employees and training providers from the
full breadth of businesses sectors across Torbay, Teignbridge
and the South Hams; with twelve categories recognising different
types of training and skills raising.

is an integral part of providing simple, reasonably priced lunches

soup and a roll, in a homely environment, weekdays from 11am
to 6pm.

The Brixham Stamp
Club meet, as usual, in the Chestnut Community Centre at 7.15pm.
The evening was split into two halves with members of The Torquay
& Teignbridge Stamp Club presenting philatelic displays
varying from early Finland to modern GB's.

Together Workshop' to be held in The United Reformed Church
on Thursday 2nd February 2 to 4pm
The Workshop
consists of
A relaxed interactive
presentation and practical session to look together at Christian
Aid Week resources, share stories from the local area as well
as Christian Aid partners and inspire each other as we continue
our preparations for May! There will be lots of time for questions
and give feedback (and there won't be any role play…!).
The better
together Christian Aid team have three aims:
To
equip and support our dedicated organisers, supporters and collectors
To
meet as many of our supporters as possible
To
provide new and old members of the team with on the job training
This is a great opportunity,
not to be missed, we might even collect some more support! |

Churston
Sax at Fermoys
The Churston Saxes
have been out entertaining shoppers at Fermoys Garden Centre.
They played Christmas Carols on two afternoons, 4th and 11th
December, and the shop manager was delighted with their sound
which filled the indoor area of the centre.
